Mission Statement: We are to help support our church in Christian action.

“Each member of The United Methodist Church is to be a servant of Christ on mission in the local and world wide community.” (The Book of Discipline, p221) We are to help lead our church’s involvement in these social issues.

 

Vision & Purpose

The purpose of the Missions & Outreach Committee is to identify the needs of our community, our country and our world and then engage the congregation in mission opportunities and service projects that seek to address those needs.

The vision of the Missions & Outreach Committee is Cecil  First...Joining Together...Reaching Out...Being the hands and feet of Christ.       

 

                                      

 

 
Non perishable foods are distributed to families in need weekly. The Church is Open Monday through Friday. If you are in need of food, please view our church calendar for food distribution dates or  contact the church office for assistance. If you would like donate food, please contact Barbara Walker, Chairperson.
 
If you would like to volunteer in the pantry, need information, help with a food drive, or would like to sponsor a food drive please contact us by phone at 410-266-5651 or
 
                     
                                        
   
 

There are so many opportunities for our congregation to serve God in our community and the world through the efforts of our church. The Mission and Outreach committee can help you identify how and where to do God’s work. Are you a family with small children that can only serve once a month on the weekend? Are you a group of teenagers looking for a one-time weekend night activity? Are you part of a retired group looking for a weekly service project during the morning? No matter your age, time constraint, or ability we can place you, your family, your work group, your study group, your neighborhood group or any others in an outreach project.
